Nita is Home!
March 12th, 2009 -- Posted in nita | No Comments »We checked out from Thomson Medical after both mother and child are discharged on Sunday. Dad just got back from China today, so it was the first time Nita met her Ah-Gong.

It was hard to catch a good pic of Ah-Gong and Nita, since Ah-Gong couldn’t keep himself still when he carries her… It was after feeding by the confinement nanny before she settled down and napped
I got my chance of feeding her too! It turned out it wasn’t that hard, since I had helped Mom feed all my sisters before. Nevertheless, my first try feeding Nita was like a whole new different experience.

Becky, the baby’s ‘Tua-Gou’, wanted to get Nita a new vibrating bouncer chair and she had a hard time choosing one from the wide variety… but finally picked this nice one called “Think-Pink Bouncer” from Fisherprice. Then the Hello Kitty musical mobile that Sunsun requested arrived in a package from U.S.

We love the bouncer… and we believe Nita will too. But too bad Nita is still too small for the bouncer chair. We’d just have to wait for a few more weeks when she grows big enough to sit in it comfortably.

Then Cupcake Toddler Chuck Taylor also came in the mail. It’s just so sweet looking. Obviously, it’s still too large for Nita… but I just couldn’t resist getting these for Nita’s sneakers collection. It’s the second pair after the red Chuck Taylor Liang Hwei got her earlier.
Is this how most parents feel for their kids… especially their first one? I can’t describe my first experience as a dad but the very existence of Nita makes me want to hold her and kiss her all the time. It comes with unique kind of pride and joy… one that makes me feel I have a very important purpose in my life.
